In the dark ages, before mirrorless, the Lowepro Slingshot 200 pictured below was my go to bag for hiking, biking and travel — but when I moved to mirrorless, the bag was just too big, and my gear was swimming in it.
Old bags designed for DSLRs, like the Lowepro Slingshot 200, are too big for a smaller camera kit.
So, my friends at Lowepro told me they had a new sling bag designed just for mirrorless cameras, I had to get my hands on one.
The Slingshot Edge 150 AW took everything that I liked about my old Lowepro DSLR sling bag and sized it down to perfectly fit the mirrorless bodies of today.
The gear pocket can fit a number of lenses and bodies.

The outer pocket runs the length of the bag and is great to store things like maps, extra batteries or keys.
I make sure I have a in too.

For being such a tiny bag, the Slingshot Edge 150 has a great spot right on the back of the bag to hold a small tripod.
I put a fairly hefty on there with no problem.
Hold a tripod and water bottle with no problem on this tiny bag.
I love sling bags and was really missing one for my mirrorless gear, so the Slingshot Edge 150 AW is a great addition to my bag arsenal.
You can never have too many camera bags!
Did you use one for your DSLR gear back in the day?

DISCLAIMER: Lowepro sent me this this bag to evaluate.
However, all opinions expressed in this article are my own.
I have 10: iPad Pro.
Do you think that would fit?
I forget which gen I had at that point, but it was the 9.
I purchased the slingshot 150 for my Canon EOS M5 and a couple of lens and all fit.
My question is why Lowepro decided have the gear facing the back of the bag.
For me, It makes it kind of awkward to try to get the camera out while wearing the bag since the grip is on the opposite side.
I think you might be able to though, depending on the size of the 2 lenses.
Thinking about it now, you could probably get it in there with a telephoto lens attached and a wide of normal lens in one of the pockets.
Thanks Joe, I did finally choose the 250 for my photo equipment.
My typical one day city walk setup looks like this 16-35F4, 28-70 and узнать больше />I really liked your review!
I am in need of your help.
I laso intend to carry Nikon 70-300 mm VR.
Will this bags main camera compartment fit these?
Will it be good enough?
нажмите чтобы увидеть больше I need a smaller one for regular use.
Joe — I just downsized from a Canon 60D almost went for the 80D but decided to bite the bullet and try the MFT format with an inexpensive later model EM-10….
More portable, very good quality photos — and it passed my trial period …my only sacrifice is some resolution when cropped перейти на страницу in.
Other than that I am happy.
Sold all my APS-C gear…and now have about 1300 bucks to spend on new stuff.
Bought a 12mm f2 Rokinon, and a pany 25mm f1.
Plan to complete with a Voigtlander 42.
I never take ALL my gear with me shooting — silly — learned that a few years ago.
I do want room for the 14-42 kit on my EM-10, and two other lenses of my choice for the day… What do you think???
Will this bag work???
I like the water bottle holder and little extra space….
I also like that there is a place to attach a small tripod I am thinking the new MeFoto Backpacker Air…only 2lbs and 10.
Looks like you picked up some great gear too.
The tripod attachment is key too, посетить страницу with a tiny one like that should should be fine.
Hi…i am wondering if i can fit a canon 7d with 24-105 lens attached into the 105.
It looks smaller than the 250 and as I am not very big would like to have as smaller bag as possible but with a tripod holder and room for a few Комплект GSM с DS-900-23C2 items so i only need one bag for day trips.
Thanks Cheryl Hi Cheryl.
Sorry for the late reply.
In trying to remember the size of that gear, I https://megapixels.ru/komplekt/samiy-luchshiy-na-rinke-visokokachestvenniy-besprovodnoy-monopod-teleskopicheskaya-palka-derzhatel-s.html that would be pushing it for this bag.
The Slingshot Edge 150 was made with smaller, mirrorless cameras in mind, so I think the 7d with the 24-105 attached might be too much.
The Edge 150 is pretty tiny but does work well for smaller cameras and a very small tripod, like the gorilla pod.
Hope that helps and thanks for your comment!
Glad not tempted to buy the larger 250 aw for little more dollars.
agree, Термобумага 57мм*23м*12мм, 53 гр/м2 well height of 150 aw is about the width of my chest.
In bus, just hug horizontally in front of my chest.
Its 300 g lighter than the Billingham Hadley pro.
Configure as your photo.
I can bring my E-M1 with the trinity 17, 25 and 45 mm f1.
I would like the balance feel of backpack, but this sling is convenient and easy to move in busy street.
I think this one is better than think как сообщается здесь turn style, for this one can hold all my stuff including water bottle.
This is my first sling bag.
Hey, trank you for this great blog, i appreciate your tips and reviews.
One Quentin on this one — will a em5 Mark II with attached hld-8 fit into the bag?
But, I just took a look at the bag and camera with no grip on, and I think it should fit it fine.
There seems to be enough vertical room.
Do you think this is big enough?
I have an em5 mk2 with 12-40 pro Hi Darren.
Glad you enjoyed the review.
Either way, this would be a fine day pack if you want to keep it nice and small.
I have the Lowepro Hatchback, which is similar in terms of storage space, but it lacks a place to attach a tripod.
Glad to see this improvement, only wish I had one!
Yea, I thought the lashing straps were a nice touch.
You could probably easily do a DIY thing like you mention…grab some small lashing подробнее на этой странице from REI and sew them into the bag?
This is a great bag!
